I went to Bath Theatre Royal yesterday to see their production of Pirates of Penzance. This operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan is very well worth seeing because it is a witty, well written (some of the songs, even though they are over a 100 years old are still very funny) and well sung by an enthusiastic cast of professional and semi-professional actors. It's worth the ticket fee just to see the "I'm a modern Major-General" song alone.
