growing this year capsicum,peach hebrum ,cayenne .should have about thirty plants in  all,.

anyone else growing chillies this year?

The good thing with chillies is that if they are dried properly they will last for upto 18 months if stored correctly. I use a lot of chillies both dried and raw in cooking - any extra ones will e nice. :wink:

i will have plenty spare gtb you will be most welcome to some.

i intend to store mine in ice cube trays finley chopped with a clove of garlic  in olive oil then freeze.that way there will be no preperation involved but will just simply add to the pot as and when required.

i was sent some chillies last year  which i dried out  and have just planted the seeds.i can not belive the amount of seeds in one chillie. :shock:
i know there was marble chillies and capisum i cant remember the others :lol:
if all my chillies work out i am going to have over 100 plants and 8 varietys. :shock:

how soon is it when you plant a chilllie seed that you see the start of a plant??

well nearly all my chillies have come up and most are ready to place in 3 inch pots.
i will more than likely have a few spare so if you would like a chilie plant just let me know.

Now potted all my chillies in to 3 inch pots .
i have

8 de cayennes

17 small squat chillie

9 mediom fat chillies

4 peach herbrano

4 capsicum

34 marble

25 long thin chilies

total 110.
