Does anyone know where you can buy hay from,around the calne area.

Yes.
Go through Lyneham towards Wootton Bassett. As you go out of the 30 limit into the 40 bit, the road bends to the left. As it starts to bend to the right, there's a farm on the right that sells hay (and potatoes too).
£2.50 a bale I think.

In another direction, there is the Nolands Farm. Turn left at the top of the hill after Cherhill (about five miles) and head straight on. As the road bears right for Yatesbury village, again head straight on (technically a left turn. Quarter mile on, dead ahead, is Nolands Farm.
Good hay there once. Perfect for horses, goats and all.
