When I lived in calne (till feb 2003) I used to drink in the Bug and Spider. Reason being it was too out of the way for the t~at's. The best pub in calne, I think is the George. Mainly because the landlady is a relative. The George gets bad trade because of its location, and lack of parking, but its ok, nowadays.
