After todays massive down pour flooding occured in a couple of places and the rivers were extreamly high.
The photos are not great as the light was fading fast but i hoped there good enough for you to see what its like.
There was a bit of flooding on abbered way just by the penhill road turning.
Then i went down town to the river by the riverside shops.

this is a good comparison
although taken at different angles you can clearly see just how much the river has rose by looking at the bench

| I remember walking home from school and walking on the old black pipe at doctors pond, also firing bangers from the hand rail pipes. Haven't been back there for over 36 years must visit. |

despite the rain last night the river has gone back to normal this morning.
i went to chippenham this morning and on the by pass where the football field is ,is compleatly covered the water where the river bank has burst you can not see where the bank was the water has stretched all the over the field .part of hygrade must of flooded and the house on the other side of the field must have done too looking at the water this morning. |

Yes, Chippenham is really dire, never seen it so bad with so much flooding - continues like that down river in Bath too. |
