Once again, Biggles these are great pics.
I was trying to work out where the 2nd and 3rd photos are and just realised that is no the carpark and part of somerfields car park.
I cant believe it was that big, I just thought it was where the carpark on the back of church street is . I would have loved to have seen the place in its hey day .

With such a big building why did they knock it down? Why not have used it for something else?

Great pics biggles its hard to believe that they were taken over twenty years ago. There must be a whole generation grown up in Calne who never saw Harris's

Yeah was very imposing building, it used to dwarf the Library (heritage Center now) and the Barclays building, Still remember going shopping down town and hearing them unload all the pigs to be errr you can guess what :shock:
