Just checked the met office website who reckon we might get about three hours of light snow. That's Wiltshire gridlocked then! Roll eyes  Plus I expect all the old people to decide that it's time to go and get their pensions or yet another tin of cat food and risk breacking a hip.

For the past few years, I have had rear wheel drive cars when we have had snow. This year, I have front wheel drive. Not looking forward to it, now.

Because the uk does not get much snow, people are not used to it. Some countrys have snow frequently, and they are used to it. When it snows, the met office says stay inside. I say blocks. Go and drive in it, have some careful fun in it. One day, you maybe miles from home and come across heavy snow. If you never driven in it, then you will come unstuck. But if you drive in it while you can, then it wont be so daunting. I once got caught near glasgow in heavy snow while driving a lorry. I was sat still for 8 hours. There was a young mum with child in the car next to me, so I did the gentlemanly thing and brought her in my lorry, with the nice cab heater, water and food.

4wd with Torsen central diff and rear diff lock. Useful for getting up past Bremhill when the road has turned to sheet ice past Whistledown cottage.
