To be honest clunk we have been dealing with other admin problems and the size of the avators has not been to highly on are agenda. As mentioned on another section of this forum this is a new site and there are still lots of work to be done on it.
We will increase the size of the avatar when we get round to it ,in the not to distant future.

To be honest I think the biggest challenge is to get more people to participate - once that happens, you'll be able to tell by the sort of topics coming up whether they are reasonable to split off into a separate section or not.
I'd quite like to see one about local politics, but I get the feeling it might just be me and would be pretty empty of posts!

I will look forward to seeing them.

I like the idea of having a section devoted to local politics. That way views can be aired on the future of Calne (and the surrounding villages), and as long as everyone behaves whilst making the political posts it would be great lively debate. Perhaps we may even get some Calne town council members on here to answer some of your future questions. As this forum naturally evolves into a, hopefully, busier and larger webiste we can accomodate more diverse subjects.
Clunk, raising the avatar size is a very easy proceedure to carry out. Like Topdog said, it hasn't really been very high on the agenda lately. I will raise it though if that's what (some) members want. |

| No problems, Clunk. New forums such as this evolve as we go along and there is always the inevitable teething problems - as you will know with your own forum. |

The only way around it is to use a link to a third party offsite chat host. I do not know of any off hand. But chances are we will have to register on another site.
I dont think the site is big enough yet to warrant a chat room. There are rarely more then 3 people online. This is the bonus of a forum. You can chat, without the other person being here. |

chat rooms on forums don't work
I've been on forums with an average of about 50 people on in the day and the chat room is still always empty _________________ LIKE A NIGHT OUT IN SWINDON
