there was a piece of land what was a car park .nect to the surgery.they have now filled it in and are going to build flats there.
whos dumb ass idea was that.
the parking up there is bad anough as it is.people must off got really cheesed off up there they buy a new house with a lovely bit of greenary in frount fast forward 4 years and there is now a block of flats,a row of shops.
its the mini lego land.

Like I said in another post on another thread you cant blame the builders as they will cram in as many buildings as they can into a space to increase the reurn on their investment but you can blame the planners who allow it to happen

I thought they were private flats.lansdowne park will become the slum of calne in twenty years.

Think of victorian england with buildings to close together, 3 or 4 stories high, no gardens, nowhere for the kids to play, schools not big enough........decease and decay. And bow think of most new housing developements, take a walk down past the old Dunstan house and get worried very worried. In 30 years time when it's not all fresh and new it's going to be awfull there !. Thank you Government... Thank you very much indeed ! :evil:

the big difference is though it that there wasnt so many cars in the victorian times either.

is Baily house still there along with pinager (not sure if that is how its spelt ) and wasnt there another one ?
there the equivelent to Avon house in chippenham ,Hummm say no more !
 just got back from Bristol my god what a concrete jungle that is and theres loads of new buildings going up every where you look ,not houses but it looks like offices or somthing. I was glad to get home .

The flats has always had a bad rep.although i knew someone who lived in one and they are quite nice flats.
bad reps move around quite a few years ago braemor road had a very bad rep now its fine.
