The question regarding foreign players in the Premier League is quite complex. On the one hand there are three types of foreigners nowadays, there are British foreigners i.e. Scots, Welsh and Irish, there are European foreigners as in those from European Union member states and there are those from anywhere else in the world. Now both of the first two groups are legally allowed to work in this country and therefore any legislation brought in by the F.A. could be considered illegal.
The second question that the number of foreign players playing here raises is has this had a detrimental effect on the England national team and my opinion is that it has not and my reason is that the problem english football has on the international stage is that we always try to play the continentals at their own game and never send out an England team which plays the way we play wek in week out in the Premier league in otherwards with pace tempo and aggression when was the last time an England team played like that. I'm sure others of you will have different ideas but this is mine.
