what aspects of calne do you want the councillers to make happen
mine would be
more police in the center
get all the druggies out
have a ten oclock curfew on people under 16
make sure the classrooms of school are under thirty.

Town Council cannot make this happen surely - they can only ask. What do you want anyway, to see police standing at every corner? That's never going to be possible.

Not sure how that can be objectively determined, nor how that could be implemented.

That's up to the local school and LEA, they cannot control that. How do you define "properly run" anyway? |

NO IT MIGHT NOT HAPPEN BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A 24HOUR MANNED POLICE STATION.AND HELP DESK.AND FEEL THAT THEY ARE THERE IF YOU NEED THEM.

SEVEN OCLOCK IS PUSHING IT BUT I WOULD SAY TEN/ELEVEN NOT BECAUSE THEY LOOK UNTIDY BUT IT WOULD CUT DOWN ON UNDERAGE DRINKING IN THE TOWN AND GANGS OF KIDS LATE AT NIGHT IN THE TOWN.
UNLESS THERE WAS A FACILITY WHERE THEY COULD GO.

I'm not sure they could do these but
1. Make people be nice to each other
2. Turn the rain into wine
3. Take Swindon Town and Calne Town to promotion
4. Change the results in the European qualifiers
5. Make sure enough people use the leisure centre so that it didn't have to close.
6. Reduce crime to such a level that we didn't need a police station.
7. Make all the drugs disappear. |
