The Jenny Wren is where I used to drink. It might be a bit modern for some peoples tastes but I liked it. Not a bad pint either.

I used to like the talbot When Nick and sall had it but now you can walk in there and you do not know anyone .
Jenny is quite a nice pub.Its friendly also,One pub i do not like is the bug and spider i find it over priced.

My local was the Soho - I know it's not technically in Calne - but it was a good little boozer back in the mid nineties.

i used to go in the jenny when the Bennets was landlords ,i used to go around with mel .
havnt been to a pub in calne for years ( 4 yrs at least) the talbot was the last place i went ,that wasnt a bad pub it had a good mixture of age groups ,quite busy for a monday night and the food was really nice ,i was plesently supprised .i would defintly go back . i just havnt got round to it yet,

I used to work in The Talbot.......Sharon still had it when I left (2002!!)

I heard she and Chris moved to Portugal???

It was a good pub back then.

Does he still have the Wheatsheaf?

(I moved away)

Heard the Jolly Miller was knocked down.... :o Does anyone know the band that played there alot.......Irish music and really good?

ray no longer have the pub but its still owned by richard elms.
The jolly site is now flats the talbot is the last pub in calne.
didnt know the irish band in there .the only ones i know who played in there is nick self.he used to work with me at the talbot.

There is several houses where the Jolly Miller once stood. :cry: The band I think you are refering to is the "Boys From County Hell". They are still about I think.
