But this is more than just a key. The story of the whole Titanic saga is intrinsically linked to this key - it may have even been able to save the ill fated ship and 1500 lives if it was in the right hands at the time. As for the money issue; people will always pay what they think it is worth no matter what the object - it's no different to paying £50m for a painting when you can get a copy of the same picture down at Woolworths for a couple of quid?
