I was driving through Trowbridge today at 1720. I looked behind me in my rear view mirror, and I saw the X5 (Warminster) bus.
To my shock, I saw the driver light a cigarette, and hold it out the window. He then smoked it.
But it didn't look like a normal cigarette, it looked like a joint (large cone shaped).
I had a camera with me, but it was in the back of my van. If I had taken a pic of him smoking a "large cigarette", do you think this would make good publicity???

| I think it would have meant an instant dismissal for the driver of this bus if you did have a photo. :lol: It might not have been a joint - he might just be rubbish at rolling a fag. |

Yes it's a bit too much of a leap to assume it was a joint. I don't know what the disciplinary rules are for bus drivers but I don't think he would be dismissed (unless it was a joint) but I would have thought he would be on a disciplinary as a bus is a workplace and since JULY First.............
Secondly with the responsibility for a vehicle of that size with or without passengers and as a "Professional" driver it must be akin to using a mobile phone whilst driving, although smoking whilst driving is not against the law. Maybe it should be.
What do you reckon, CALNE ? |

if he was caught he would most certainly be sacked.rolling a ciggerette whist driving a car is bad enough but a bus with a load of passengers is disgusting.
that is now also iileagal . |

thing is though you could never prove it only if you were in smelling distance of it.and you had your camera.
you can get the long rizzla papers which i know a few people smoke ordinary tabbaco in ,.
why not lodge what you saw with the bus company? |
