The town council has finally announced the work for the new childrens playground on the North Star playing field will commence in January 2010.

The residents of the area have waited a long time for this facility and are looking forward to it opening.

providing there is anough space for people to play football,walk there dogs and so on then fine .

walking the dog is an issue but only where their owners fail to clean up after the dog.

I have said countless times this is a playing field for everyone. there always used to be an area to play football/cricket/rounders etc and the swings/slide/roundabout.

with this new playground it will be reborn. lets hope that the users irespective of age will respect it and look after what they will have.

i went on that field the other day with my dog and would have to say that in that time i was there i never seen one dog turd on the field which was quite nice.

unfortunately thats not always the case but I glad that the majority of dog owners are responsible people who think of others

ive been up there before and there has been turd every where it is nice to see people are picking it up.
