It is on september the 8th.It starts at school road at 5pm with the theme of narnia.
If any members do go would you please take some pics for the forum.

I was planning to go but unfortunatley i am due to be away that weekend.
I was hoping to take some photos of the carnival for the calne photo section...so can i ask any members who is going to take some photos for the forum please. |

Read in the paper that it is cancelled.Which is a great shame. :cry:

Well last year, I enjoyed all 2 minutes 7 seconds of all 5 floats going past me.
I think that says it all really. |

I went a couple of years ago it was good .yes it was short but the town was alive with communitty spirt and there was loads of stalls thoiugh the center.
The kids loved it.ok so its not chippemham,devizes standered but for calne it was good. |

Why not? It's a good excuse to celebrate Calne and all that it has to offer. |

| What exactly does calne have to offer? Cause apart from it being a reasonable place to live, I cant think of anything else. |

| I remember Calne in 1977 when we had the Queen's silver jubilee (I was only a kid then) and the whole street got together and had a party. These sort of events create friendships and form a bond for the inhabitants of the town. |

Got some decent areas to go to, a council that seems to be making some effort at least to improve this, and a significant number of people that choose to live and shop there. |
