that may be true but we would be treated the same as a french national while in france and the same happens when they are over here.
that should be the same within the european union area.
the question "should we be in europe" is another matter.

I find it strange that the family know but not the patient ?!
Whatever happend to the hypocratic oath ?
Generally the patient is the only one that does know and it's up to him or her to let relatives know, if they indeed want to let them know.
Just out of curiosity does anyone know what we pay per year as individuals for the NHS service ? |

I did think that strange as well the family being the first to know ,
Not sure how much we pay for N.H.S but it would be interesting to find out.
