went there today for sunday lunch.there was 7 of us on our table two of us decided to have the roast beef dinner including my self and have to say it was the most vilest dinner going .the yorkshire puddings was tasteless as they were the cheap frozen wone, the carrots were also out of a packet and some were hard but not though under cooking.the roast beef was like the beef u get out of the frozen roast dinner ready meals.they also has pigs in blanketwhich was that gross i had to spit itout. The mash potato was smash.even the broccoli was frozen. When the meal came the in parts you just had water on the plate from the veg .i had to ask for more gravy.
some one else had the chicken which was one of those half chickens.which didnt looked cooked all the way through.
couple had steaks which did look quite nice although the chips looked anemic.
for pudding some one had the rasberry cheese cake which was no diffent than the ones you get in ice land for 1 pound.
i had a cadburys thing which had profit rolls ice cream, choc buttons cruncie nuggets on a so called choclate fudge which tasted of grit.this was topped by so called cream which was in fact trife cream.
for are meal the bill came to 22 quid.which i would have sooner spend on  fish and chips.

The service was ok but slow in parts the que for ordering food was long .
The mill house is a family pub and there is a large play thing in the pub which parents are ment to sign there kids in to.we never saw one child signed in so there was a constant stream of kids running in and out of there whilst most of the parents could not give a fig.there was even a child what decided to climb the sweet machines in the pub and all the parents did was look and say what a cleaver boy.

I will never go there again .the food you may as well of gone down iceland and get the cheapest stuff and eat it.for a pub it is shocking .i came out of there with what felt like a brick in the bottom my stomah and that was not through over eating as i didnt eat most of the meal.4
iwould have to rate this pub the worst ever place i have ever been for a meal.and that includes macdonalds

Not that impressed with them then??

I had a meal back in April where every item seemed to be from Iceland and just heated up but what do you do? Do you complain to the manager that the meal you just paid for was totally substandard or do you accept part of the blame for expecting good quality food after paying a relatively small amount of money? I would be more aggrieved to pay something like £50.00 and have a load of frozen veg, meat, etc placed before me, because for that sort of money you should expect fresh, good quality local produce but if you pay £20.00 for a three course meal what can you expect to see on your plate?

If you feel really strong about it I would write the manager a letter expressing your discontent. I certainly don't fancy going there now anyway.

I work almost next to the Mill house and we never go there becuase the food is so ........ well not good.

We always walk in the opposite direction and head to the Pheasant (the pleasant) as we call it.

It 's a little more pricey .... but the service and food is top notch.

Have to agree with you there the food is nice at the phesant .
Have only been to the Mill once that was donkeys yrs ago not long after it opened ,inside the door where the soft play was it smelt of sweaty socks and urine ,ordered a coke it was so diluted it didnt even resemble coke ,there was two bar staff more interested in yaking than serving us and the tables was sticky we moved twice ,never been back since ,
As for the food alot of these pub chains the food comes in pre cooked so you dont have to be a chef to work there just someone who knows how to opperate a microwave ,hence why the wages in these establihments are crap ,pay peanuts get monkeys !
