chuck you are ok but we don't see eye to eye on how to resolve issues. you are so quick to agree with everyone that it is unlikely you will ever get anything done, there is always at least 2 sides to any issues (sometimes more than 2)
also you don't seem to be interested in the past, which can often inform you where issues come from.
but in any event you will find out that you now have a thankless task because for every slap on the back you get there will be half a dozen people prepared to kick you. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |

Hi Peter, so from one agle I am too quick to agree then we do not see eye to eye (hmm? either one or the other) As regards history of course lessons can be learned from history and I was VERY interested in your explanation of the history when we spoke at the Polling Station.
If you read what I say carefully what you see as agreement is often empathy and empathy is the first step to delivering meaningful discussion.
I would say in my defence you are too quick to dismiss and use your knowledge of history to justify your thoughts. A fresh approach with each situation is perhaps the best approach.
By the way no posts on the Travellers that moved in over the weekend.
Kind regards,
Chuck

Peter,
I think you'll find you'll get much more done on a local level anyway to be honest.
You'll have much more of a chance to physically do things for the town, which in my mind is far more honourable.
Sitting around deciding the theories of what is right and wrong and then hoping everyone agrees with you, is what this new council will be about .....
We need people like you, who will actually get off there arses, inspire others to do the same and make a real difference.
Don't let not being elected be a negative thing, use it as positive tool to make things happen ..... |

Chepfer I don't see not getting elected as a negative. I am a doer rather than a thinker, at least thats what people tell me. I deemed it important that Calne needed a strong independant voice at county level and I still think that. I just hope that those elected can fill that criteria, although I have my doubts, time and history will tell me ifr I was right or wrong.
Chuck I have been away all weekend but there is a thread about the "travellers". this could be your chance to show us how effective you can be!
