Sands farm area is ok in places. Bad in other places. But trouble there is very localised. IE restricted to one street as apposed to whole estate. The top end of sands is alright. Mind you, I have not lived in calne for 5 years so my view may be out of date.

calne is alright. Just the council are numpties. The town was divided for nearly 20 years cause they could not decide what to do with the land that harris' left behind. the majority of lower sands farm was built as one large council estate. most of them are private now. The top end of sands is a mix and is quite quiet. Honestly, It not as bad as we make it out to be.

Hi welcome to the forum.
If you have choosen the left hand side as ou go down prince charles drive you are fine and there is some nice houses down there like in wessex close and heron close, most of these are private.if you have chossen the right hand side most of which are council like page close, olgive square and not forgetting the flats.
a friend of mine lived in heron close and they loved it and had no trouble down there.

like every where calne has its good and its bad places but to be fair most places in calne is now good.i have no doubt that you would have heard bad things about calne but it has much improved in the last few years.i
many people prefere the south side to the north side of calne and in my veiw one of the nicest areas in calne has to be fynamor gardens.
calne has a lot of history and its not a bad town on the whole.

not sure what else to tell you what would you like to know?
