I tried to have a veggie patch in our garden a few years back but found it hard to find the time to keep it up.
I do like the idea of growing my own, and our garden is big enough to have one (if block gives up the idea of another aviary   )

I've put myself on the waiting list for an allotment with the council but was told its a long list!!!...although i have walked past the allotments on beversbrook road and some of them by the looks of it haven't been used in ages which is annoying when there are some of us that want to have one and actually use it. Does the council check up on these people that hire one to make sure its in use and if not give it to a more deseving person?....i'd jump at the chance to have a bigger patch than our small 6x4 plot we have managed to squeeze into the back garden.
