Thank you for your warm greetings. Congratulations to Local Lass on your very recent promotion to Sergeant. When I looked at 5 PM you were still a corporal.
Having seen some of your earlier postings you seem to be very knowledgeable about websites, forums etc. and you all seem to me to be at the lower end of the age scale.
I come from closer to the other extreme. Old enough to know better but seldom do. It is good though, to see you youngsters given a space to air your views. More power to you for that and such a diverse range of subjects too.
I probably won't contribute too often (unless you open up a page for grumpy old men) but it is a good way to keep your finger on the pulse as it were.
My web name refelects the pre roman tribal name of the area from which I originate. (and No, it wasn't at the same time as the Romans!!!) :lol: But I am a resident of Calne and probably will be until the daisies in the church yard start growing bigger at my expense.
Keep posting Calne and I'll join in if and when I understand what you are saying or feel particularly strongly about something. |
