I just thought I would share some of my photo's with you.
This is my entry into the scenic photo competition

This is an open chamber of a slate mine I cannot reveal the name of

Same mine, different chamber. The water is approx 800 feet deep.
I am the one on the right.

Dinorwig quarry and snowdonia national park

What a 4x4 should be doing instead of dropping kids off at school

An incline at dinorwig quarry. It is over 1 km long and rises 250 meters in height.

It is water and it is very clear and blue. Also very deep. If i took 2 steps forward I would of sunk 800 feet. The building Is on Dinorwig slate quarry, Which closed not long ago (early 80's I belive) It was possibly a canteen or some form of work hut.

Yep, 800 feet deep. (man made)
Wasnt me that was naked. I took the pic though. (Long running joke between friends)
I so want that range rover. But £70 to fill tank which gives you no more then 300 miles, It is a bit too expensive for me to run.

Over the next few day's, I shall be re-arranging my photobucket account into albums. This means that any pictures I have posted so far will be lost. I will provide admin with the new link to the winning photograph for the winners album, and will attempt to edit all my posts to replace the pictures as I go along.

Last night, I went to an abandoned quarry near corsham. The MOD had started to convert this quarry for munitions storage, but never finished it.
A few pics......
Quarrymans graffitti

An attempt to re-create the original www.darkplaces.co.uk logo

A sign

Showing how the wall's were reinforced for munitions storage.

A small passageway

More Graffitti.
