the only photos i managed were off my phone.and havnt worked out yet how to put on the computer.

we got in to bridge water around 5pm and parked a little out of town and walked in.
the procession started around 825 and it finished at 1045. and wow what a procession it was.
if you have never been it is truely amazing, the floats were huge and really clever .
the amount of work what must have been put in to it .
the one thing that dissapointed me slightly was they had over 185 floats.
two of which was the usa not one was england.
we got home around 1pm tired.

Did you stop for the squibbing? I live 5 miles away used to go every year but after 28 years it gets a bit boring standing around in the cold. I stayed in by the fire with a bottle of red.

The squibs are giant roman candle set off in the high st on poles and spray the crowd with sparks some film on you tube I think. Sounds dangerous but great fun. Bridgwater people live for carnival with cart costing up to £20,000. Never let your kids get into a carnival club as it costs a fortune. On the Sunday all the carnival groups get very p***ed in Bridgwater its called sad sunday. Prize money is really small.
