The only thing worth selling in Calne is food.  I'd open a decent restaurant which cooks and sells edible food with a good service at a reasonable price.

There are none which do all three, and most can barely manage even one of the above.

If you buy local produce (vegetables and meat) when it is in season it should be as cheap as it comes really. This would have the appeal of not only being eco-friendly (less miles = less carbon emissions) but also good for the local economy. The sale price would then be relative to the goods which would have to be fair value for what's on offer.

Designer label poop scoops & doggie gear

Or more seriously...know the last one disapeared but a good old fashioned book shop would be lovely with a cafe attached which kept regular/normal hours!

S & M gear, as there is a distinct lack of choice localy.

Also a towel shop would be a good idea....for the sweaty people. Although i've heard a rumour that Calnites don't sweat like normal humans, they pant like dogs.

Local Lass I think you'll find Sam Widges already to takeaway salads, sandwiches etc and deliver to anywhere in Calne if you order before 10.30am

Delicious Decisions do a round on the estate selling Pies and breakfast rolls and other yummy things

And then there's Doug's Diner selling Burgers, Curries, Chips, Pannini's, Sandwiches etc

So the trading estate is well catered for.

What Calne really needs is a really decent electrical store - like a Currys but with staff that actually know what they are selling.
