And no, I'm not on about the kebab!
I don't carry one but I do donate blood and I am on the bone marrow register. I don't think anyone would want my liver after I've finished with it.

I don't, my reasons being that my innards aren't doing me much good, so why would I want to inflict that on someone else!
Part of my "beliefs" as it were (I am not of any religion as such), is if my body parts can't keep me alive, then it wont do anyone else. |

I am registered on the donor list (when I had to update my license after moving addresses, there was a section where it asked if I wanted my name on a register and I ticked yes) But all my family know I want any organs donated.
I like to think that after I'm gone whether by natural causes or not, anything that is usable and can help someone else can be used. They'll only be burnt and wasted.
It's my way of recycling - I think most of my bits are reasonably healthy - don't drink hardly ever, gave up smoking 9 years ago and eat heathily - so why waste them if they could do someone else some good.
However, I don't give blood - just never get round to registering and finding out when they are next in my area (shameful I know ) _________________ aut viam inveniam aut faciam!

I don't want anyone elses and I don't want anyone having mine. (I am quite prepared to be proven wrong, jeered at or condemned to a life of scorn IF I change my mind one less than fine day.) _________________ Democracy is dead. |

There has been political talk of everybody being a body part donor and you have to carry a card to opt out of the system.
Personally, if a doctor can find anything of use in my body after I have snuffed it then so be it - it's not like I'm going to need it anymore. I had a total blood transfusion when I was born and that is why I have always had a liberal view of donating whatever is of any use when I kick the bucket. I think I ought to get a donor card really just in case. _________________
