When i was growing up i used to live on hungerford road and had a choice of parks to go and play in.
I'm trying to fugire if any of them are still there.
There was one in luckett way, another in duncan street one at north end there were probably more ???
Are they still there and if not, where do the children of calne now play ?. Are there any open areas where they can play footie ? all these parks used to have a nice area of grass for it !

I am watching this one with interest.
I also used to live on Hungerford Road (147), first address I lived in Calne. I was about 14 I think and I found acres of open grassy areas, some of which have now been built upon - housing! _________________ Democracy is dead. |

I remember the one in Luckett Way. There was also one at the end of Swaddon Street. Our main area of choice was the grassy bit in Ernle Road next to the Plymouth Brethren hall. The only problem with the Ernle road bit was people used to let their dog foul the grass as well so you had to check the area for turds before you could play football. _________________
