What is the best way of growing onions mine never seem to be any good and this year they have blown and not grown from shallots at all....
Any tips please ??

Angel: if you plant shallots you'll get shallots, and that'shallot! (that's your lot!) Ha ha.. oh come on, it wasn't that bad!
Onions grown best in rows with four rows onions and a row of carrots in between. Lotsa good mulch down if there are very dry periods although on the whole they don't want to be overwet as they tend to rot and get black smutty fungus on them.

we are doing onion sets this year,along with spring onions.
ares seem to be doing alright. |

Ha Ha Ha why did I say Shallots ( was only using my one brain cell) I meant onion sets :oops: :oops:
