Perhaps them being here, has nothing to do with racial issues ...... seems they actualy want to do some good about the place, they certainly get off there asses and make an effort Unlike one certain councillor, who don't even bother attending certain meetings "she" should be present at !.

And yes ....... i "usually" vote Cons !

Hi Robert, I was not aware my words were kind, rather they are honest.  To be fair, I am aware of many of the BNP policies and have read some of the literature which comes around from time to time.  Some of the policies I have found to be of sound principal and do the party justice, unfortunately, they appear to overlap with other parties, e.g Green Party policy and are tainted by the rather aggressive manner in which race, immigration and asylum are dealt with.

There is a wealth of extra-ordinary bias within the BNP and this shows clearly from within their website and all of their literature.  Countless quotations of incidents all round the country which involve asylum seekers, immigrants, non-whites and all.  It's actually quite a thing to behold when you look at how much work has gone into 'proving' how bad all the above are as a group.  What is missing is relevant stats for similar crimes in same areas of white Brits.

The political spectrum in the main stream is extraordinarily narrow compared with most of European countries.  New Labour and New Conservatives are only there to pass as figure heads for international corporations who will screw every last penny and every last ounce of individualism and sell us back morality and bias in a can or a plasatic box!  There is plenty wrong with this country, but the problems do not stop (or start) at our borders.

Green party involvement in Germany in 2002 and 2003 played a major part in keeping German troops out of the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions/occupations.  The green party also played a major role in getting government grants for over 200,000 houses to be PV (active solar) panelled.  The amount of household refuse being recycled in Germany now exceeds 50% due to Green party actual involvement, and Germany's economy is not unduly suffering by comparisson to our own.  We don't need to goose step to resolve many issues, but we don't need to bury our heads in white sand either.

Hey Chepfer

I like your version of English - 'asses' - can anyone become Americanised (sorry, Americanized) or do we have to sell our souls (<--say last 2 words out loud and fast) first?   :?

A lot of that has to to with the electoral system in the UK, which is orientated towards a single local representative and tends to strong governments elected by a minority of the population, as opposed to Germany with much weaker governments that are more inclusive of other parties due to their proportional representation system.

Geddi at this early time on a bank holiday monday I really enjoyed reading you comment about foul mouthed overweight local councillors. It set me thinking about who you could possible mean?

I have to say the majority of the Town councillors are genuine people who want to give something back to their town. But you are right about a couple of them who are "school" thugs who throw their toys out of the pram if they don't get there own way.

Although I could not vote for the BNP I would like to see Robert Baggs as a local councillor and have called on him to renounce his ties with that party many times. I believe he has Calne's interest at heart. He is a Calne man born and bred not like some councillors who have lived in the town for "5" minutes.

Not something I ever thought I would hear myself say but if this Gypsy site gets the go ahead it will be something worth seriously considering as they seem to be the only people that will really take the necessary action!
