Surely one shouldnt drive to a public house and consume alcohol unless you wish to leave your car parked in town and either walk or get a taxi home as I beleive drinking and driving is actually illegal

I think there thread has got a little confused...... Parking for the new chinese on church street - not the pub !!
Though if both are coming to town church street will be a lovely eveing place for people to go to, they could always open the Butchers arms on c/street and green dragon on kingsbury street again !!. |

weatherspoons will hopefully be good for the town.. they also do food up 'til 9 every day. It's obviously not gourmet cuisine, but it's not that bad. I went to the Brunel place in Chippenham a while ago, which is maybe a bit more trendy than weatherspoons, but it was full of Calne people.
