the new harry potter film on thursday.i would have to admit that the books are so much better and they have missed out on a great chance by not adding peeves to the films.who else is going to go and watch it.

Hi there, we saw HP & the HBP on Sunday - it was good and my son enjoyed it, but you are right; its a shame they left out Peeves!
I originally heard way back when they filmed the first film that Peeves was to be in it and he was played by Rik Mayall. The film was too long and they cut him out.... |

the original film ended up being 4 and a half hours long .rik mayel would have been a fantastic peeves.i do hope that by splittling the last book they will do it justice in the film.
i watched a doco on the harry potter kids .i didnt know that steven spielberg was going to direct them ,he wanted the kid who was in the sixth sence to be the voice of harry and for the films to be animated .thankfully jk refused and said she wanted british kids so he pulled out.
