Met Bob Geldoff in a pub in Lyme Regis. I was sitting eating a meal and he sort of pushed by looking for the gents.
Also I used to work in a garage and would occasionally talk to Michaela Strachan about Eastenders while her husband filled up their jeep. |

Those I have seen perhaps too many for now ...
Met:
Martha Reeves - Back stage at Gold Diggers in 1980s
Roland Orzabal and Kurt Smith (Tears for Fears) played in goal while them and a few of their famous mates took shots at me. Only Roland scored. Also arm wrestled Roland (he beat me the B*&^$*&). - At Roland's house near Bath in 2002ish.
Julian Cope - chatted at length - Avebury school when his kids and mine attended.
Mel C. (aka Sporty Spice) - Circle Restaurant - made her food as a chef and chatted a while afterwards - she complimented my food and bored me talking about nothing but gambling.
Naomi Edwards (aka Dolly Putin) - August 2007 - spent a few days with her in Somerset. Advised her on some famous English characters.
Loads of politicians and environmentalists, a Dr of archaeology who was on time team (worked with her for a while in Chippenham)
and a few louts of rock and roll at festivals.
All in all, people are people. _________________ Democracy is dead. |
