Block and Kathy: I can tell you take your responsibilities as dog owners seriously and I applaud that. Pity all dog owners don't take it as seriously.
Licenses might be a good idea? Perhaps paying a fee and getting the dogs microchipped as part of the deal? Missing or stolen dogs can be easier traced. Dogs can be checked in seconds for records with a hand held scanner.

My 2 dogs have been chipped as well and for a small fee of about 17 pounds for life I think its worth it too many dogs are getting lost lately how frightening that must be for the dog
I heard on the radio today that thousands of dogs and cats are being thrown out on the streets because of this credit crunch. |

I think it shows a lack of calm approach in England to crisis or 'credit crunch' as the latest euphemism is calling it. In loads of countries in the world people would consider having animals in time of hardship a blessing. If we get too skint and hungry, we can always eat the dog/cat/ delete as required... _________________ Democracy is dead. |

| No not joking!!!!! seems to me people think dogs/cats have no feelings I have always had rescued dogs and the loyalty and love they return to me is amazing, I knew someone who got rid of her lovely dog she had had for 5 years because she was having a baby!!!!! I asked her why, her answer was goodness me I cant possibly cope with a new baby and a dog and also we all know that dogs can be aggressive so I cant trust it, no the dog has to go   |

:o I hope she only has the one baby then, god only knows how she would cope with two or three!!! Its not that easy to give away a baby just because you dont want it anymore!
All my dogs are recsues, one was very badly miss treated, hit, kicked and starved! We have taken alot of time working with him (and a trainer) and although he's still not to good around strangers, he is much better than he was and keeps going forwards. |
