I was busy in the kitchen on Sunday!!
On the left is some potted tongue, made using aberdeen angus tongues which I cured. In the middle is a game terrine which contains Hare, Rabbit and Pigeon. On the right is a pate which is made from very fresh pigs liver. The Terrine and the pate is covered using my own home cured streaky bacon. The most expensive part of all three dishes was the tongues which cost me £12 ( there are three tongues in there!). The game was shot by myself (except the pigeon which was given to me) and the pigs liver was given to me by a farmer friend. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend mega-bucks to make so-called sophisticated food stuffs at Christmas.
