ISNT THAT SUPPOSED TO BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND LOCAL LASS ?
i would rather buy a solid built house in Braemor road than these new houses that are like rabbit hutches , a friend of mine has moved into one on the by pass and she said when you knock on the walls they sound hollow. |

That's cos the old houses were "wet plastered" onto solid brick. New houses are "dot and dabbed" plasterboard (drylined) so sound hollow as the plasterboard is 1/2" off the brick......
At least new houses have decent foundations........ |

| My house is over 200 years old, the walls are around 2ft thick. I wonder how many of these new house will still be standing in 200 years time. |

| i would sooner have a old house i think.there is more space and more unique ness .the new ones are so the same same and most are only 10 ft away from other houses.now adays they sem to cram them in where ever they can.new houses have hardly any garden and most are like postage stamps. |

What a jaded and uninformed viewpoint.
Have you been to the sales office in Lansdowne Park? Some of the gardens are huge. The houses are well designed too.
We moved from a Victorian terrace in Bristol and wouldn't go back to old houses, unless it was totally refurbed.
New houses are energy efficient too.

depends of your view for a huge garden to me its a garden where you can grow stuff have a patio area, and a large lawn.
landowne park is to built up the roads are not wide anough and its like a little rat run.
the inside of the houses are well designed but for me they are just to close together.
thinking about it there are a few nice houses down there .the older part of lansdowne park is quite nice the ones over looking the green part.its the ones in the middle i dont like. |

I'm not too keen on the ones on Zander Road as you go in from the Lickhill road roundabout. It is a bit like legoland and everyone does park on the road - what if a fire engine had to get down???
However if you go into Stickleback Road from the bypass, them ones are nice. Bit pricey though! |
