I remember Dunblaine ,at home giving my son his lunch he was 10 mths old at the time and a news flash came on the tv about it saying all these little reception class children had been shot and killed and they showed all the mothers running through the school gates crying and screeming .
Twin towers .i was in the middle of watching crossroads when a news flash said a plane had hit the twin towers at first i thought it had just crashed but when they showed the other plane hitting the second tower i then realised how serious this was .
Dianas death i first heard on the radio in the morn so switched the telly on and every channel covered the story ,went to sainsburys in chipp that morn although the store was really busy there was silance it was really eerre ,people was talking in hushed voices about it .Looking like there own loved one had died suddenly.

I also would add some incidents that unfortunately give my age away although I was very young at the time.
1. John Kennedys assasination.
2. The first moon landing
3. England winning the World Cup in 1966
4. The American evacuation of Saigon now know as Ho Chi Minh City.
5. The day Elvis Presley died. |

and to be fair i didnt do to bad considering you were pinching my leg and i had a camera 10 inchs away fro my face. :lol:
another classic has to be only fools and horses in the eisode of time on are hands when they sold the watch it was a excelent end to the trotter era and it is a shame they made some after.they should have left it like it was.
same goes to the vicar of dibley they should have never have done extra episode of that. |
