That we get a huge snowfall again this winter like we did last year.

Although our children have long gone my wife and I enjoyed the snow but to many people it caused considerable problems. The elderly in particularly were hard hit.
In balance we would have been better off without it. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |

naw we wouldnt it was great to see all the kids have fun ,my son who is nearly ten was his first time where there was atticute snow to go sleding and make a proper snowman, something which the older generation would have fond memorys of when they were a kids its nice to know that the kids will have there memorys of that snowfall.
yes it did cause caous for older generation and work but your talking 5 days worth out of over 300. |

It was not a problem for us but if you consider the population as a whole it was.
I enjoyed the snow but thats a selfish point of view. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |

peter you BAAHH humbug !
the snow was great ,its the first time my children have seen what i call proper snow and there 14 and 12 .
I have fond memories of the snow we used to get in the 80s the schools shutting my dad taking us out sledging ,building the biggest snowman we could .
But i guess it does cause hassle if you have to drive ,or for the elderly ,so i guess i can see your point also ! |

| A couple of days of snow a year won't do any harm - we used to cope with a fair bit in the 1970s and early 80s. It is a shame the kids don't get to see it as much as we did. |

You might think differently if you had to drive from Calne to Stratford upon Avon like i had to last February. |

I was driving up to heathrow every day without a problem. yes we did have snow in the 70's but it was never that much.
memory does suffer as you get older, summers were always hotter and winters always colder!
