isn't the whole point of mother and child parking for when you struggle with car seats and pushchairs because of tight spaces? Surely say having a 13 year old in the car, doesn't warrant the use of a mother and child space?
perhaps i'm missing something?

"Badge holders may park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours in England and Wales, except where there is a ban on loading or unloading."
I agree Peter I often take my disabled mother shopping and find all the disabled spaces are being used by non blue badge showing cars, a few weeks ago i also went to the Calne Tescos and out side in the 2 disabled bays were 2 white vans so i parked right across the pair of them and blocked both in and stuck the blue badge on. As i was getting my mother out the car the builders came out of the Tescos and said oi you cant park there, i said wanna bet, i then started to get abuse and they said we only went in to get sandwiches and fags and they had to go to work, i said you shoulda thought of that then because we got quite a big shop to do there and could take some time (and boy did we take our time) lol, maybe they might think next time they park there  eh. The cheeky sods even said they gonna call the Police cause im parked illegally, i replied "and your not? go on ring them"
thats brill !

I think you should only use the allocated spaces when you have a child in a "baby seat" rather than on a booster seat other wise you could, although maybe not seen very often, get a scenario like Kathy states.

I saw the biggest p*** take going on Sunday afternoon at Morrison's in Devizes. This bloke, along with his wife, turns up in the carpark in an old transit pick-up and promptly parks in the disabled space by the front of the shop. The man, as he is clambering out of the cab, correctly remembers to display his disabled badge before they both go into the supermarket. Neither of them looked "disabled" as they briskly walked into the entrance.

Won't be long before they give out badges free with cornflake tokens soon.

You should be able to report that to the council, bluebadge@wiltshire.gov.uk , and they can investigate and maybe remove the badge.

great link rosco ,if i took that womans number plate i would have reported her.
To get a disabled badge isnt that easy as you have to go through your doctor and then you have to have to go through a indepentant doctor.
There are genuine cases out there but some des make you wonder.i even knew one bloke who forged a badge so that he could get closer to a event what was being held what was more shamefull was he admitted it.
There does need to be tighter restrictinion to a disabled badge.
