I did my first, and last, car boot sale of the year this morning at Lacock. Not a bad way to re-coup £160 from getting rid of stuff that you either never use or don't want any more.:old_thumbs:
Does anyone else do a car boot sale?

Yes we have been to the Dauntsey one a few times this year too.
It is just so massive, with all the kiddies bouncy castles and stuff too .... we have found we've made quite a bit of money there though ... though the best one for making money for us was castle coombe ... where they have bus loads in from bristol !!!
Never been to lacock or seend - any good ? |

both seend and lacock are better as they are only bootsellers no market people.
one thing that really annoys me when doing a boot sale is when you have things marked up real cheap and they want a riduclas amount of it.most of the time its ithe english either |

My mother who was selling some stuff with me had a brand new skirt for sale which cost her £15.00. A lady picked the skirt up, had a good look over it and even pointed out that it still had the shop label attached to the skirt, indicating that it was unworn. She then asked my mother how much she wanted for the skirt. 50p Was my mother's reply. I'll give you 20p was this ladies reply. Needless to say she didn't get the skirt!. What bloody cheek!
Biggles, I was at the bottom of the field with the white Landrover and trailer. _________________

I was chatting to a bloke at Lacock who had also been to the Castle Combe booty - he said much the same as you, Biggles. _________________
