Had a response from First tonight....
Thank you very much for contacting us to register your concerns following an encounter with one of our drivers, who was operating the Number X5 service between Trowbridge and Warminster at 17:20 last night. I must stress that we are taking your report extremely seriously, in light of the obvious implications for our customers’ safety.
Using the information you supplied, we have identified the driver involved and these details, together with your email, have been forwarded to our Operations Manager, who will ensure that all the necessary tests are carried out.
I can sure you can appreciate that I am not at liberty to discuss the outcome of these tests or any action that may follow, as I am legally bound to respect employee confidentiality. However, I hope you will feel reassured that we are taking this issue very seriously, as First has a zero tolerance policy towards this type of conduct.
Thank you very much for alerting us to your observations so quickly so we have the opportunity to take action to ensure that our staff are conducting their duties professionally and safety.
Should you have any further comments or queries regarding any aspect of our operation, please do not hesitate to contact me again and I shall do my utmost to resolve any issues for you. |

i may do an enquiry under the "freedom of information" act.
something like "how many drivers have tested positive for drugs?"
i soooooooo wish the camera was with me, not in the back of the van............ |
