I see that a council in south Wales is planning to cut down a monkey puzzle tree because the needles on its branches have been compared to syringes by two health and safety consultants. This tree has been alive for 150 years and could go on for another 800 years but for the crass stupidity of these people! The "experts" recommended that the tree be felled amid concerns over its proximity to a new school. First they wanted to ban conkers now monkey puzzle trees. Whatever next??

GTB : Political Correctness has gone way to far, to the point that it has got way too ridiculous!
Trees today, what ever next, grass because of chlorophyll may stain the skin?
Attrebates : I agree with what you said regarding this matter in your last post.
eyestrange : I to had to do Diversity training when I worked at the gas plant in Purton some years back. It did make me chuckle considering that if you were not ex services or a total brown nose then life was not made easy for anyone at the time! Wonder if they have changed their tune by now?
As for myself, I am not PC as it has got too ridiculous to express oneself honestly. |
