Just wanted to say I went there no so long ago after passing by and thought I'd drop in: actually seemed quite reasonable quality and had staff that seemed interested in customer service: any one else had experience of it?

i understand that it has now changed management .when  me and my friends kids were young we walked out of there .as we did all our order .it was raining outside and we had two small kids in pushchairs.which were not allowed in the shop .
even though the corner was free and both pushchairs would have fitted nicely in there with out blocking any exits or anything or getting in peoples way.what was more annoying was she had told us after she had taken are order but we hadnt payed for it and walked out .i havnt been back since.but will give it ago again.

When it first opened , the lady in there used to make incredible food.  The cakes in the cabinet were homemade and looked so good you wanted the lot..

Sadly she retired and was replaced by someone else. New people, new ideas and this was together turned into a posh cafe! with fry-ups. It lost its appeal and so its customers (i.e. me) and was never the same.

Once there was this massive birthday cake on display for someone... as if it was showing off period... fantastic work of art i grant it, but when you have all these people looking at it, breathing on it etc the thought of eating it soon vanishes.

I do mean to try the Olive Tree sometime, it does have a great location. I wonder how it will do when Weatherspoons opens (if that is still going to happen)?

.. didn't think that they were coming here anymore ..

.. even if they did come here they serve completely different food to the Olive Tree anyway .. they serve pasta and pizzas etc .. ( yummy ) .. Wetherspoons do basic everyday food .. ( the breakfasts are good )

.. have been to Wetherspoons in Devizes many times and to one in Hull ..  also the Olive Tree a few times ..

.. I think both would survive ..

But if that's well done, not a problem surely?
