Thank you for that, GTB. Good to see that, unlike me, the real humour has stood the test of time.
Any folks under the age of 40 please follow the link GTB has provided. I will resist any further attempts at my own humour and leave it to the experts.

I had a paper round.
I used to love flying around on my bike before most people had woken up ... sunrise's, birdsong and fresh pristene snow all add to the memories ..... |

I had just finished my GCE's and had a few months to wait before starting as a boy apprentice in the Air Force.
I got a job in the toy department (suited me) in a department
store for a few months. Was paid £3.10 shillings a week.

First job i had at 12yrs old was baby sitting my cousons 4 kids. The oldest was only 3yrs younger than me,iwas paid £5 for the night ,i stayed the night so my couson :smt022came home when they wanted .that was in 1986.
First proper job was at the Lansdowne Arms in Derryhill ,i was what they called a Runner ,which was taking the barmeals out to the customers after you have called there ticket colour and number on the tanoy ,if i had a pound for the amount of people who shouted bingo i woulnd need to work today . I think i got about £2.30 an hour that was back in 1987 88 .
