In fact, at least in this case, reading up on the history of how the term came about, I have to agree that it was rather unpleasant and is probably best that we no longer use it. |

| I agree. The one that i really don't get is .. BBC Radio 1 Xtra - it's a radio station for Black music. They say advertise it as that. Now don't get me wrong but if there was a radio staion for white or asian music ..... there would be uproar. |

Dont get me started Chepfer where I work there is a Black association an Asian association and also a Lesbian and Gay association all of which I have no problem with but there is no white hetrosexual association and yet the majority of the workforce is white and ( I am making an assumption here) hetrosexual and I wonder if I tried to start one what the reaction would be. |
