JH here (Silbury) North winger until it all changed. I was there until 1995.

I loved sports day, in fact met my lovely wife for the first time on my last ever sports day.

I was also at guthrie/ Dunstan and remember the rope snapping in (Yes it was) keith Foleys face.

Also remember the 100m running at Bentley, it was so bumpy you kind of went up and down as you ran along it.

Still got my lovely little medal for having the most points in a soprts day in the school and i still have the record triple jump there too !it's lasted more than 15 years ! (Keener ?....... nah i was crap at everything else)

it was definatly Jeramy Humphires face that got smacked with the rope ! there was a keith Foley in my yr i left in 89 it wouldnt of been the same one would it ? i think he had a sister called Janette live up Breamor rd way ?.
jeramys mum was a teacher at the time in Dunstan .

I used to like house matches good excuse to get out of lessons.
pity silbury was rubbish and lost most matches . the swimming galas were good fun still remember barbara kempster falliing in 3 times at the start of the race   must be something to do with gravity  Big Smile

sports days in schools these days are a complete waste of time there is no competion there Roll eyes
