I really wouldn't recommend putting dog or cat poo in a compost bin as they eat meat - it will stink to high heaven!  I accidentally put some cat poo in our compost bin and had to destroy a load of it.......evil stuff!!

I sometimes get my step daughter to bring her shetland ponies up to the house and get them to "dump" on the garden - great stuff!!
