We're off to minehead (well blue anchor) again this year, in a relatives caravan (nice big one).

We love it down there, lots to see and do and the kids love it ...... just hope the predicted hot weather arrives this year though !

Im off to Egypt in 3 weeks yipee.
Live just down the road from Blue Anchor visit the Hood at Kilve youll pass it on the way from Bidgwater fantastic food.

I'm going for a long weekend to New York next month - I have never been to the USA before so I am really excited!

My hubby knows someone who lives in New Jersey so we are staying on the cheap - we are going to stay with him and then go into NYC to do shopping etc!

I would love to go away later this year in August - the whole family, but we will have to see how the credit crunch (I really hate that phrase now!) goes - maybe get a last minute deal....

....I have never booked a package deal at the last minute, how late can you leave it to get a good deal, a month before?? 2 weeks before?? etc.....

Lots of travel companies have last minute deals ,with the advent of the internet you can book within a few days before your departure date.

We go down there about 10 times a year and pass the hood every time usually eat in the plough at holford (i think it's holford) !.

It's our little get away and i envy you living down there ..... clatworthy here i come in a few weeks for a relaxing days fishing ...!

Yes its Holford we used to use the Plough but its gone downhill lately try the Hood. I love the area went to college at the local horticultural college after leaving Calne in the 70's and stayed down here.
