Right now, I like Calne. It's amenable, good access to links, great open spaces, some very wonderful people, climate is fine, walks around, close to very ancient history, as well as plenty to do and relatively clean environment locally.
I've been in or through about 15 countries and Calne is pretty hard to beat overall.
