My guess would be one of the churches or one of the pubs however the oldest dwellings would have to be the old alms houses on the road from Church Street to The Green | ||

i HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THE ANSWER TO THIS
. http://www.beerguide.co.uk/old/towns/calne.htm i never realised the bug was as old as this.. also found that st peter church blacklands part was built in the 13th century but offically it never joined the calne parish untill 1997 .http://www.calne.org.uk/calne&blackland_parish/index.shtml#St.peter the oldest church st marys according to this which is quite a intresting article. http://www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk/display.var.1160180.0.0.php not sure if its the oldest building though :? |

the mill houses on the green are ancient but, got to say, church street THE CHURCH

Lansdowne Strand Hotel - 1565
White Hart - 1659 St Marys - 1400's St Peters - 1200's There won't be many more buildings older than 17th Century as there was a large fire that broke out in the 1300's which destroyed a fair bit of Calne at the time as they were mainly timber and straw.
