Been to dozens of concerts - I was towards the front at Live 8 so saw a great many famous people that day, all the musical people - snoop dogg, scissor sisters , keane, madonna, The Who, (and loads more) but aslo people like Kofi Anan, David Beckham and so on. A random list of concerts would also include Pink Floyd, Metallica, Motorhead, Ozzy osbourne, prince, madonna, u2, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Paul Macartney, Erasure, Marillion, Cliff Richard, neil Diamond, meatloaf, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Status Quo, Guns n Roses, Saxon, Bon Jovi,
Simply Red....

I have met many people who get into the public eye periodically but aren't necessarily famous so I have alot of 'I know him/her' moments when I'm watching telly. (I'm a mortgage adviser) My wife is a local radio DJ in her spare time so meets slightly famous people - the bloke who usually has Orville on his arm the other day, but it being radio, he showed up without orville and pretended (shocking!)

I met a few famous people when I worked at Lloyds - Peter Gabriel frequently when I worked at Corsham and he had his recording studio in Box.

And of course I snogged .... just joking!!

when i used to work in devizes we used to get charles ingrim (not sure if that is correct)and his wife diane in (who wants to be a millionaire coughers)
they were very nice people he more than she.
the amount of flac he used to get though with peopl e coughing.

Met Bob Geldoff in a pub in Lyme Regis. I was sitting eating a meal and he sort of pushed by looking for the gents.

Also I used to work in a garage and would occasionally talk to Michaela Strachan about Eastenders while her husband filled up their jeep.

Martha Reeves - Back stage at Gold Diggers in 1980s

Roland Orzabal and Kurt Smith (Tears for Fears) played in goal while them and a few of their famous mates took shots at me. Only Roland scored. Also arm wrestled Roland (he beat me the B*&^$*&). - At Roland's house near Bath in 2002ish.

Julian Cope - chatted at length - Avebury school when his kids and mine attended.

Mel C. (aka Sporty Spice) - Circle Restaurant - made her food as a chef and chatted a while afterwards - she complimented my food and bored me talking about nothing but gambling.

Naomi Edwards (aka Dolly Putin) - August 2007 - spent a few days with her in Somerset. Advised her on some famous English characters.

Loads of politicians and environmentalists, a Dr of archaeology who was on time team (worked with her for a while in Chippenham)
and a few louts of rock and roll at festivals.

All in all, people are people.
